How do you mixe this damn drink, i have tried a million different ways and nothing is coming out good

Absolute Vodka - 1 shot
Seagims Gin - 1 shot
Bacardi Rum - 1 shot
Jose Tequlia - 1 shot
Triple Sec - 1 shot
Sweet & Sour Mixer - 1 1/2 shots

Splash with coke

Thats how you make it, in some bars they add soda water on top too but that takes away from the real kickass long island taste, the first one will be strong but keep drinking after a few they will go down like water.

1oz each:
white rum
white tequila
vodka
gin

2.5oz of s&s mixer

use coke to darken it up, its not for flavor


i've never had a complaint and i hardly ever measure it out :6

I bought the stuff to make these about a month ago, the inital cost of the liquor at the liquor store kinda got to me. Buying 4 bottles just to make one drink was a little steep in price, than i thought that i could get quite a few drinks of it. Hmm...this makes me want to go on another long island binge.

not every ABC/liquor store has it, but if its there buy it. most places usually carry Pepe Lopez Silver and its pretty gross

i always use long island premix, some sweet and sour mix, and some coke.

works great at home.

The Seagrams is killing you, get some Tanqueray

1 shot Tanqueray
1 shot Bacardi white rum
1 shot Cuervo white tequila
1 shot Triple sec
1 shot Skyy vodka (or shitty vodka, who cares)
2 shots sweet/sour mixer
splash coke

I keep all of these bottles in the freezer constantly, my drink of choice

Wow you guys are some amateurs.

The brands have nothing to do with it. You can make a fine long island with rail liquors. That is how all the bars do it. :y

I dont know if any one has said this but the key is a shaker.. you shake the ---- out of every thing with ice in the shaked then you add the coke

1.5 oz Blue Curacao
1.0 oz Gin
1.0 oz Light Rum
2.0 oz Sweet and Sour mix
4.5 oz Tequila

Long Islands and Vodka Tonic's are my favorite mixed drinks. I ordered a long island in a bar and some d-bag goes "mixed drinks are for -----'s, get a beer like a real man". I just had the bartender mix it in front of him, then he changed his mind.

my boy said the same thing, while he has to drink multiple beers at $4 each (some local brewery pisswater) i had a couple long islands and was just as ripped if not more.



best shot drink combo, after every long island, drink a dry gin martini :S

I like em'. I used to buy all he bottles seperately, and it does cost a bit but you get quite a few out of them. The premix was $10.00 so i thought that i'd give it a try I put about 4oz of the mix in and 3 ounces of Sour mix and a splash of coke and it's not too bad, could def. be stonger, but for the money i'll take it.

2 parts everclear. :l
1 part sweet and sour mix.
Pour over a glass of ice.
Add a splash of cola for color.


Drink several mixed like this.

Leave out Tequila, add chambord, mix sprite instead of coke then you have a Grateful Dead ;)
