Local CRX... outrageous...
I know we've discussed before in various threads about how much people are charging for ED's nowadays... but this is ridiculous
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...=en&cardist=17 1990 Honda CRX SI 2 Door Hatchback $5,500 1990 Honda CRX Si in Rio Red.... Swapped a JDM DOHC ZC purchased from Mid-west engines in Cleveland Ohio. Engine was an automatic (Never over-reved). Car is a 5-speed and uses the stock Si 5-speed transmission. Motor was cleaned and dis-assemled. Head was given a 5 angle valve job and milled. Bottom end got nothing but spec'd. All hoses changed, water pump, NEW oem motor mounts. Fidanza flywheel, ACT clutch. Powder-coated valve cover and intake manifold. Power intake manifold gasket. DC Sports Stainless steel header, Random Technologies Cat, and Thermal Exhaust. Magnaflow dual tips replace the coffee can of the Thermal. Koyo Aluminum radiator, AEM Cold Air intake, AEM adjustable cam gears. AEM fuel pressure regulator, and AEM fuel rail makes this car nitrous ready. External fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. The car has been fitted with an MSC Blaster cap and external coil, as well as MSD ignition wires. DC sports short thow shifter w/ energy suspension shifter bushings. Car has Tokico Blue shocks and H&R springs. Suspension Techniques sway bars all the way around. All new OEM calipers, drilled and slotted powdercoated rotors and metal matrix pads. Stainless steel brakelines w/ ATE super blue fluid. Car has Redline MTL fluid as well. Car has 2005 Civic EX rims w/ brand new Toyo performance tires. Also sporting a JDM Type R Civic Momo steering wheel. Car also has perfect seats, and I even purchased a new foam kit for the drivers side. Car has Alpine Phantom face head-unit, Diamond hex fronts and diamond co-axial rears, as well as q-logic kick panels. I want to buy a 300zx. I will trade this car for a clean 1991-1996 300ZX twin turbo, preferrably. Also interested in 300zx NA's if they are super clean. Ridiculous :S |

Re: Local CRX... outrageous...
---- that. :3 If you want a Honda and you don't want to get fucked in the ass you have to look for an old lady/man that bought the car brand new and towed it behind their motorhome for the past 100,000 miles. :l

Re: Local CRX... outrageous...
searching on Honda-Tech for something and ran across a thread that was "how much is too much for a stock CRX" kid ended up paying 4200bucks for a SUPER clean (like looked brand new) all stock 160k mile 90 Si.... same thread someone said they bought a 30k mile CRX for 'more' but didnt say how much... both cars where purchased resently...
now i think there is a huge diff paying 5500 for a modified vehicle and 4500 for a MINT stock one. i would deff pay more for a stock one, expecally for something like a EF/CRX which is getting rare as hell just to find a decent one... |
Re: Local CRX... outrageous...
I have a super nice one but its not for sale. I get complements from domestic guys all the time. Which I think means more than some ricer who doesn't know ---- about cars only stickers. Bought it for $2,500 four years ago with 160,000 on the clock.

Re: Local CRX... outrageous...
i paid 200 bucks for mine. plus 1500 for the required parts :D

Re: Local CRX... outrageous...
I paid $200 for my EF, and had a guy offer me $3200 for it yesterday. On the other hand, pretty much every piece, every bushing, every balljoint I've replaced, and have had almost every bolt removed from this car. So in a sense, it kinda is like a new car...with new paint and no rust anywhere on it :) Just gotta spruce up the carpet a little :-\ After adding up everything though I have way over $3200 into the car and even though the offer sounds tempting, it holds too much sentimental value now...and alot of my blood lol.

Re: Local CRX... outrageous...
i bout my first crx for 900 and my second for 650, now i cant come across one for less then 2500.... :-\
