Be careful, man. You really don't want to burn up your project. I know it is tempting to do stuff like start the car with the wrong injectors, no MAF and no O2 sensors but you need to try and hold back.
Did your mom see those flames? I hope not.

you need to get a MAF sensor that is calibrated for #42 injectors. it should run fine then.

having a maf and having a maf for #42 injectors are 2 different things... get the right maf or an afc.

I had an old school popcorn popper that sounded like that. You need to figure out the problem before you mess up stuff. Unless of course, you don't care.

wouldnt changing the MAF be just liek changing the MAP on a honda??
you would still need to preogram the ECU to accept new hardware
