A little update on my '03 Evolution 8...56k can suck *****
Figured I'd post an update for you guys since it's been a few months since I bought the car and since that time I've put a bit of work into it. It was pretty much bone stock when I bought her, and so far this is what my final result is. Mods are as follows:
HKS 81mm cat-back exhaust
HKS 81mm down pipe
Megan Racing 3" cat delete
Injen intake and upper and lower IC hard pipe
Turbo XS Type-H34 recirc valve
MHI 10.5 cm^2 hotside
Megan Racing ported o2 housing
Evo IX fuel pump (soon to walbro 255lph due to leaning out under boost)
ARP headstuds
Brian Crower 272* camshafts on stock valvetrain
Ebay catch can setup
Kakumei Racing exhaust mani S.S. heat shield
Carbon fiber spark plug cover (aesthetics lol )
Evo IX vortex generator
Innovate LC-1 wideband with digital guage
Greddy radiator cooling panel
Do-Luck carbon fiber lip (to be installed in the spring)
Voxx 18" wheels for the summer with advan 235/40/18's and
Stock Enkei 17" wheels for the winter with Hankook icebears 235/45/17
Tuned a la me with an Openport 1.3 Tactrix cable via EcuFlash
Boost set through EcuFlash @ 23psi in the winter and 28psi during the non-slippery months
Haven't gotten any actual dyno numbers yet, only what my g-tech estimates (around 380awhp according to it) so I figure it's got to be at least 350awhp which was my goal when I first started out. Hopefully with all the overtime I'm doing I can upgrade my fmic to a nice AMS front mount and bump up to a 780cc injector, seeing that atm I'm extremely maxed on the stock 560's.
A little teaser of the fiance's car...
Hers so far consists of Injen intake, Tanabe concept g cat back, Invidia type-2 downpipe with cat deletes, Agency Power cat delete up-pipe, boost set at 18psi via EcuFlash also with tuning done by me. Just opening up the exhaust makes a big difference on WRX's, and from what it was to what it is now is was quite a decent surprise.
