Default A little mirror trouble. 4234 @@@

My ------- mirror is no more, it caese to exist. I have an extra one, but I can't seem to find out how the ---- to get what's left of the last one off of the car. I looked, and can't find any ------- screws for it, just for the mirror, not the base. Any help would be great. Steathmode need not apply. - Matt

rearview? If so, you can just reuse the mounting base

I dont know what kind of car you have, but i think you have an EF. If so, pop out the little triangle piece on the end of the lever you adjust the mirror with. The you can take off the black triangle piece that has the hole in the center. Once you have this off there are 3 phillips head screws

Sorry, there is a screw that holds the adjusting **** on. You'll see it when you pop off the triangle adjusting cover

Matt. this is really simple..

1. look under the housing. there is a hole.
2. stick a phillips (star) screw driver up the hole.
3. wiggle it around til you feel it fall into the slots.
4. turn counter-clockwise a few turns.
5. put a towel on the end of a flat head screwdriver.
6. wedge the screw driver between the mirror and the housing on the side of the mirror farthest from the car.
7. a little pressure and it'll pop out. if not, repeat steps 2 - 4
8. slide the mirror or a little blade like thing (you'll see)
9 install, reverse of removal! voila.

PS i have the glass part of a mirror. there are two styles tho. look on the back of the housing where the stamped id numbers and such are. there should be a 6 digit number. if that number is 007054 then we can do a trade for that crx stereo bezel if not. then we can't

is this just the glass or the entire mirror?

i have the housing too (007054) but it doesnt adjust. the mirror can be adjusted by hand and its sturdy enough to stay in place.
