Little eBay/Paypal Q

Little eBay/Paypal Q
Hey, guys!
I just had my first snag ever buying from eBay. Communication has been a little late, so I filed a dispute with Paypal. The seller contacted me the other day, he seems super nice and all, says he's had some medical problems and has been in + out of the hospital. He's asked "if you could redo the payment then I can ship it out to you."
Now, I don't want to act in bad faith with anyone, but I don't want to put myself at risk. If I claim my Paypal dispute is resolved so the gentleman can get access to the Paypal'd money, does that forfeit my right to another dispute if he turns out not to be, well, a gentleman? What's the correct course of action in this matter?
Thanks!

The money is there for him if he ships with tracking. Don't close it until you have it in your hands. As a seller it can be a bit nerve racking, but as long as he does what he's supposed to paypal will give him the money. Your dispute is still valid until he supplies proof.
I had my first snag about a month ago after 200+ sales. The buyer filed a dispute and wouldn't close it even when I supplied everyone with the tracking info. I just waited for the dispute to closed by paypal and I got my money. I was a bit annoyed that the buyer would never respond. I even gave her my home phone so she could call if she wanted.

DO NOT close the dispute. Once he supplies shipping information the dispute can be closed.

Re: Little eBay/Paypal Q
Paypal is shitty about working out disputes I had a guy scam me for $75 I file a dispute I get $55 and Paypal says the issue is resolved I am like what about the rest and now everytime I go on my paypal account it has at the top that I have a open issue with my account. So I click on the link then it says this dispute has been resolved ---- Paypal they aren't worth a ---- just to give you a false sense of security.

Heh.
I emailed this guy earlier today, right after making this thread, that I had to leave for the day and would get back to him later tonight after I had a chance to read up on how Paypal Disputes are supposed to be solved so we could figure out the best way for both of us to get the merchandise/money exchanged. He refunded my Paypal payment while I was out, saying that he guessed I didn't want the screen since I didn't undo the dispute.
Either he's a really nice guy who's awfully confused, or he's a scammer. I dunno... I'm supposed to be fairly bright, but I get confused by all the legalese and now-jump-through-this-hoop instructions... hopefully we can resolve this and I get the screen. I really want to finish my carputer.
