I got the Angus's DVD boxset 1-4 for Xmas since that's all they had available at the time. MacGyver rawks the house. 8)

In order to fix a metal boat with holes in it and escape a horde of man-eating army ants, MacGyver makes a mig welder out of a powerful deep cycle battery, some jumper cables, and a nickel, by running the DC current through the nickel to create heat and electrical discharge, which he can weld the (presumably tin) boat with.

MacGyver is right up there with Chuck Norris, but Chuck Norris would probably win in a man to man battle.

It's also wrong. First of all, it was an ARC welder that he made (obviously, no shielding gas) and it was to fix a connecting rod in an engine, not fix a tin boat.

I used to love MacGyver too. It was my favorite show on TV. I've watched a few episoded recently though and it's much lamer than I remembered it. Still decent though for a show that's 20 years old.

But It sure would be entertaining. think about it. Chuck has to fight the "bad guys" while MacGyver is trying to invent something so they can scape, so you see MacGyver ins a corner doing his thing, while Chuck is kicking ass. That's entertainment right there. and make it as stupid as always, same plot everytime who cares, I just want to see Chuck kick some ass, while macGyver makes something to get away....I can see it right now, in my head of course, and I like it :l
