Default legal question...

This is for the state of California.

Say one has a bench warrant for some charge... would this person be able to get a new CA state ID from the DMW with no problems? Is the DMV computers linked to the court's computers? Would the DMV really know if there was a bench warrant was issued?

Holla if you can help. And yes I know this isn't a legal forum, but yars...

The people at DMV dont have the authority to access anything but DMV info. They will have no idea you have a warrant.

I would think if the warrant is for a auto related thing, such as a ticket or driving with stolen plates or something like that...you might be fucked.
