Leed still come to here?

He made a bin from bbka, and I have a few questions about the ignition he did in that bin. If anyone knows where he hangs at or his email, please let me know

My ignition was advanced 1.5 degrees at the dizzy because my eye is a little off and we didn't have time to manually set it back to stock at the dyno. Dave just compensated in the ignition maps so if you have stock timing you want to add 1.5 degrees of timing back to the ignition maps. Not sure if that is what your question was, but I thought I would tell you anyways.

i put your bin in my car expecting to run rich since I know your making more power than me. Well I ran lean, I did a 3rd gear pull and killed the car directly afterwords and that ---- was white. I was hoping he could guide me in upping the fuel in the correct area. I cant get it straight, my old bin was stupid rich and couldnt idle. Your bin is lean but idles. I want something inbetween.

That's weird because my car runs rich. I pulled my plugs after 500 miles and the were blacker than black. You can even smell and see how rich it is from the exhaust. My car runs and idles well though so I dunno what to tell ya. ???

a simple solution in the mean time would be to lower the boost, running lean is scary :-\

what are your respective fuel pressure's?

I have the old chip, I'll just slap it in on the drive back to the lab to do a new chip. I'm only running 7psi. I think I'm going to try and average to two bins or some ---- like that. see if I can find a middle. I get horrible mpg with the my old rom, and the plugs come out looking stupid rich.

Looking at my A/F print out the only spot it gets lean it around peak torque. It gets to about 13.2, but only a few hundred rpms and then it drops back down. 6,000 rpms and above it's in the high 11's and right before it spikes the A/F is between 12.5 and 12.. A few other people have ran my ROM with a wideband and also said it gets a little lean for them also. One of the guys also datalogged my ROM and said the same thing, but he was at a higher elevation (I guess that would make it a little more lean for him since I dyno tuned at sea level?).

atleast your ---- idles :-). thats an improvement.

I'm going to post on the uberdata site for some help

What have you did with your fuel modifiers? In my ROM they are all set to 100, but I have the cold and TPS enrich set to 53 right now. My car idles perfect with them set either way though. I think gimpy is running my ROM and he had to set the main and TPS enrich to 53 to get his car to idle well. I think he posted in the uberdata forum about it.

Re:Leed still come to here?

Your car may be running rich on Pats map do to the fact that he ran 10psi on the dyno, therefore only those cells are accurate. I took a peek at Pats final map, and would 'appear' to be ok at lower boost levels, but you said your plugs are black :-\

Here is a link to an updated version of Pats map. The fuel modifiers are corrected, a sleep deprived oversight on my part. I adjusted the timing to were it should be, just load it up and set your base timing to 16. I also smoothed some of the fueling and fixed some timing discrepancies. Pat I wonder wich A/F printout you have. I have a few of yours, but not the final. What did I write on it?, or what is the time stamp on it?

As far as other peoples WB results, I would trust those #'s over what the dyno put out. This is a graph that I made of one of my runs. Its Dyno A/F vs my PLX datalog. Notice that the dyno sniffer lags about 500rpm behind. Makes tuning a bit more difficult. In my Hondalogger logs, I can see an almost instantanious (less than a second, or 100rpm) change in A/F logged vs injector pulse width changes.

Note: The Dyno sniffer was having some serious problems that day, it was slow to start reading and would then peg lean near the end of everyones runs. :(

Is there any way I can get ahold of someones WB datalog of your bin Pat?

As far as running to rich at lower boost levels, well bump it to 10psi, and youll be just fine :P
