Bahhahahaha!
It's all glowchucking (Poi) and "liquiding" around here. I'm pretty sure someone dancing like that at a rave would be in his own little world.

you are obviously young, i started partying back in late-98. and thats how raves were back then, when it was new to most of the population. at your age you will never get to experience a real rave. big festivals and weeklies are about it now, too many severe laws on the books now

Yea I'm a git.
But I never bought into that new symphonic super trance garbage they play here at the "raves". I always go for the music, so little shitbox local dj sets are where it's at. Ultra was a good experience though, but nothing like chicago back in the day, like the 80's. That 90's rave scene seemed to be more about the drugs and the party and the plurry, rather than the music, which used to be the party. Still, I'm from Miami so I've experienced a 3 day long party, and clubs that bump from 2am till 2pm with their after hours parties. I'm not sure how that would stack up to the 90's L.A./NY scene.

I've been to a few raves and I always thought it was ALL about the drugs? I've never seen so many fucked up people doing fucked up things in my life. I remember walking through rooms seeing people basically glued to the wall, some people were -------, having oral sex, some people were just too fucked up to walk, some people had no idea what they should be doing.

Not really my cup of tea anymore, but I wouldn't mind going to one hammered just to ---- with people and watch everyone fry their brains.

+1

I went to a rave with some dumbass people, not knowing it was going to be a rave. It was just all about the drugs but everyone acted like they were all the best friends in the world. Like they were making a "change" of some kind in the way our society works. Really all they do is help each other get fucked up. Its hard for people to get out of this crap because of all the "friends" they have, even though its all bullshit and any guy there who is "friends" with a girl would most likely rape her if he got the chance. Pretty sweet really I just consider them modern day wanna-be hippies... But they are worse than hippies because they have no organized movement or political agenda. Why they dont have a drug dog/officer outside the clubs is beyond me

Most of the ones I went to had "security" searching people at the entrance, but as long as you didn't have a pound of weed in your pocket they really didn't care. Everybody knew they don't check shoes or bras or anything past your pockets.

honestly now the only place to rind a real "rave" is in the deep south and in the mid-west. everywhere else is mega-clubs that only book high dollar trance/house dj's.

DnB and breakbeats for life, i def like the hip-hop side of the scene more than the trance candy kid ---- (though the drugs def fuel the party)

Lol I used to love messin' with the people that looked like this at raves...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1IDf...elated&search=
...man, talk about buncha fucked up people. One of the last few one's I went to about 10 years ago had some girl fall down on the floor and have a massive seizure...and all the people around her were going nuts cause they though she was doing some fancy dance move lol.
Webster Hall in NYC used to be one of the most popular places to go on the east coast, but I don't even know if it's still up and running anymore. Their dance/trance/house beats on cd used to be big hits.
