Laptop hard drive swap help needed

Hey does anyone know of an adapter that would let me use the NEW harddrive in the OLD laptop? They have different connectors on the drives so I dont know if there is a way to make it work.

That's a case. you have to open it up and put the new drive in it.

one has 20 pins one has 25 pins. thats most likley not going to work.. im not real sure on my laptop interfaces but theresa good chance that laptop board wont even pick up most of the space on that new hardrive. is your hardrive fried or somthing?

See the yellowish piece on the old HD? Thats a wire that plugs in to the "case" from the HD.
No, my old HD works but its like 1gig and the new one is 3gig.

if you can get a chart of the pinouts your might be able to make somthing work. but one might be ata1 and the otherone might be ata2. and your motherboard probebly wont support the ata2 interface.
