English is easier than French. A lot easier! I have some difficulties with past tense tho... :-\

No, English is far more difficult than french. You realise any time you attempt to relate complex concepts in English you make no sense, right?

Maybe they are more similar than I think... You have more words in English than French I think. Anyway, my difficulties in English as more to do with practice... I am surprised how much French expression you use, even here on HMT. I found an "interesting" website about French words used in English. http://www.orbilat.com/Languages/Fre...rnational.html .

What makes the English difficult is number of rules of all kind. You have like 4 ways to make a mistake in one sentence if you use past tense. In French, the words themself are difficult to write.

Anyway, I fail at writing in both language. :P

We have simplified a lot of germanic rules. You're lucky you don't have to remember all of the cases, forms of have and are relating to those cases and when you use have or are with a specific word.

You have no excuse for the last one. In English, plural is not a bitch.

Plural has always been my black beast. In French you only notice plural at writing, but in English you notice it verbally too... I'm fucked on this one... lol

I learned a lot since I'm on HMT and I appreciate it. Mostly on familiar expressions. We don't learn this kind of stuff at school.

Practice makes perfect I guess. Still need a lot of practice :P
