Kumhos =KumBlows in the snow!
I drove the fire in the snow a lil the other day, we had about 3 inches. My dad had plowed our driveway and I still almost got ------- stuck on level ground.
Its not like there that wide..only 225/45 17's.... My friend in his typhoon is also having shitty luck with them in the snow. Arg just wanted to express my anger with them. I realize its a street tire but I think a camaro with 255's has a better chance than me in the snow |
Re:Kumhos =KuBlows in the snow!
That's why they invented snow tires. ;D

I'm almost 100% positive it says "NOT FOR USE IN SNOW" right on their website. ;)

Re:Kumhos =KumBlows in the snow!
lol yeah yeah I hear ya. I dont intend to drive the car throughout the winter so its not a big deal. I'm just suprised that they suck as badly as they do. There not even that great of a street tire either Adequate at best.

Re:Kumhos =KumBlows in the snow!
i like mine... u have the 712's ? maybe its that heavy jbod? :P
I got snow's on my beater (94 cav). the tread is like 1" deep, lol. |
Re:Kumhos =KumBlows in the snow!
Jbodys are typically really good in the snow.
I have Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's. I'm sure its probably the tread design plus they are wider than stock. I have my truck for the winter anyways. The tires in the summer are pretty good though, and seem to handle well in the rain as well. |
Re:Kumhos =KumBlows in the snow!
I have the 711s on my car. In the snow last year I could start the car and let out the clutch while in 1st gear and get out of the car, without it stalling... They didn't handle very well in the snow. It was cool to watch the car do a snow burnout with noone in it..

Re:Kumhos =KumBlows in the snow!
ah yes.. I sport the cumho Supra 712's on my car... whats funny a few nights ago when it was a bit icey out... I had some ---- in my eye, and for a split second I slid and curbed my wheel!! I about ---- my pants! I've never curbed a wheel in my entire life, I'm so careful, I'm blaming it on the Korean rubber >:( lol
I'll tell you one thing about those tires, they sure can go through tons of my burnouts and show very little wear. Jeff |
