I ordered a Carsound universal high flow cat from VRSexhaust.com and had them weld on the necessary 3 and 2-bolt flanges on each end. Welding was quality and they even painted over where they welded.... it took 3 days from the day I ordered to recieve and they only added $10 to weld on the flanges. There website is cheesy but the one experience I had with them was a good one.

Cheaper is possible, thats why I'm going to be doing it.
Profit isnt always a concern when you're trying to get you're name out for quality products.
That's why you arent trying to sell your manifolds for the price of Full-Race even though they are easily comparable in quality.

The reason it looks easy to make is that its NOT a mandrel bender.

A true mandrel bender has an insert that is pulled through the pipe while its bent to keep the pipe from distorting. A mandrell bender with a set of dies will cost about $100,000. Now you know why nobody has there own

Wrong!

The design in the picture fully supports the pipe wall so that crush distortion is eliminated or kept to a minimum. For tight radius bends, you just pack the pipe with sand to prevent collapsing or deformation.

If you wanted to buy a manual unit, $450 plus $75-250/size for the shoes and dies.

Clicky the linky to the movie... that pipe look crushed to you?
