you can buy those all over here, guys run 4 wheeler tires and use them for hunting/quads. They sell for around 5000 and are street legal, you can get supercharged vans to.

Actually, Subaru sold some of the Sambar Kombis with that paint scheme and front end... they came that way right from the factory, but without the VW emblem of course. O0

Yeah, I own one. It's a '90 Sambar non-supercharged, 5+L 4x4. When it's working properly it goes like 70 MPH, but my clutch is slipping right now because I beat the everliving ---- out of it. :6

one of my buddies has one of these little bastards. parts are NUTS to try and find there are little to no new parts left for them. but none the less fun as hell. theyre all right hand drive and if youre about 5' 1" or taller theyre pretty cramped. most if not all are 4 wheel drive. we put it in 4 wheel drive and ride reverse wheelies in it. its got a 4 inch lift some 22 or 26 inch vampires and some hot ---- 4 spoke aluminum wheels. people on the banks and on the north end here trip over that thing when we pull up with the rods and coolers in the bed to go fishing and they got their facny cart things and have to walk them aorund!
