Kill Switches...

Re:Kill Switches...
I was thinking of something totally different when I read your topic, but I came up with an idea for overboost situations.
like a simple one way solenoid attached directly to the wastegate to completely open the gate via a manual switch in the cabin. If you notice an overboost situation just flick the switch and presto no boost... sound good?

Re:Kill Switches...
This is in no way a switch per say but my cousin used to be paranoid someone was gonna steal his heap of a honda and before he went to sleep he would disconnect where it was barely noticeable the plugs that go to the dizzy and also used to disconnect the spark plug wires from the top of the plugs where it wasnt even noticable but no starting at all. He even went as far as disconnecting the ground off his batery cable sometimes

Re:Kill Switches...
I almost have a setup like your talkin about, but it's mostly out of neccesity and not because of theft. My main relay crapped out and melted all of the wires going to it, so now i have to have my ecu, dizzy, and fuel pump all on kill switches Man, talk about ghetto

Re:Kill Switches...
i have killswitches for starter and fuel pump. basically you just need to find the wire for whatever you want killswitched. then, cut the wire. extend the two halves with about five feet of similar gauge wire/solder/heatshrink. run both wires under your carpet to some hidden location. get a switch from radio shack, and wire it up accordingly. mount the switch in the hidden location. when the switch is in the on position, your fuel pump, starter, whatever will work. in the off position your car will not start. i probably forgot some minor details, but it is pretty much common sense ----. dont tell anybody where you hid your killswitches, not even your best friend.
also, i forgot which wire is for the starter, and i am not sure about the fuel pump. but... i think the fuel pump is a yellow/black wire found underneath the cargo compartment in the crx. you will have to forgive me, its been a long time since i did this, and my memory is not the best.
