^ now that makes alot more sense, i thought they meant that people were going to have to start paying for internet access and it was going to have a shitty connection. sounds more like they are trying to jew websites out of money. still i wouldn't worry too much about it, i really doubt that companies like microsoft/google ect are going to let little ---- cable companies cost them money. i would be more concerned about having to pay postage for e-mail pretty soon. but i signed their pettition anyways.....

wouldnt the entire world as a whole have to agree (not the people, but the providers and gov't). After all, it is the WORLD wide web.

Just like the whole world had to agree on china censoring the internet. We are talking about our country and the companies in the US that control our pipeline to the world wide web. Since these companies control the vast majority of our access to the www, then how do you see this as a non issue.
