Ok first let me do the standard thank you to hmt because without any of you guys i wouldn't have been able to do this right.

next i'll start off with the feeling of boost for the first time. oh my ------- god!!! i seriously almost pissed my pants. the ------- car hauls ass. i smoked through first gear, smoked through second gear, and smoked the beginning of third. that could be because my tires are bald as ---- but there was so much torque steer on the car i thought i was gonna steer into oncoming traffic so i had to let off a little. good news is that no cops came because my car isn't really legal right now. anyways onto the pics and vids.

93 civic dx with d16z6 swap
blah blah blah little bit of engine stuff done
t25 boosting ??psi lol i honsetly didn't look at the gauge cuz i was too busy compensating for the torque steer (and busy wetting myself) i'll check tomorrow

PS: yes there is some things i have to clean up like the injector wiring and such. but i have a lot of time to finish the rest of the car up so i'm good.

hah, nice... looks good man, very jealous of the cage :)

first glance at your injector area I thought you had a direct port nos system or something.. when its really a big rats nest :o heh, good work, and hope to see some "better" videos later on. Be sure to keep an eye on that boost gauge too,

WTF is all that wiring for??? :o Did it not come wired for fuel injection or what? :P

I think this is the fool that showed us when he put the cage in. he's going to drag it or something, maybe offroading, can't have the roof crushing you when you fall off a cliff while offroading.

3SGTE Turbo: i like it a lot, too bad its so hard to hear over my car itself. Soon as i get the downpipe and exhaust on, i'll be able to enjoy its full chirpy goodness.

Its supposed to be 60 degrees here today so i might take some more videos and they'll be "better" jeff hehe.

I like that. My favorite parts are the clean ass charge pipes, and the roll cage.

Maybe I should have payed more attention on the roll cage post, but where did you get that? and the charge pipes? Nice, nice. ;)

Stevemode: i bought the roll cage from a company called S&W Race Cars, they're located close to where i live so shipping was very very little, plus they gave me a discount. www.swracecars.com

Doc: i re-wired the injectors today so they look a lot better. hehe 8)

unfortunately the weather is overcast now and it looks like it's gonna rain, so i won't be taking any videos today but maybe next weekend i hope.

nice job man, one thing i saw is do you have any kind of down pipe on there?

for mine i just welded a little temporary turndown off the turbo so that it wont melt my radiator fan shield

What adapter plate are you using? Anybody know if the BMC racing ones mount the turbo reverse of that? Just wondering if mine is going to look like that.

My simple plate adapters all mount the turbo with that orientation. If the bolt pattern is symetrical, you could rotate it 180 degrees, but you will most likely have clearance problems with the Turbo/block. I have been contemplating a design for the DSM Turbos which may possibly allow A/C (James say's buy the manifold...but he is only selling T3's for now) if there is sufficient DP clearance. If you are interested in a prototype, let me know.

Custom Gauge Pod Write-Up:

Tools Needed:

1 Roll of duct tape

At least 3 fingers (both thumbs and 1 index are normally required, but the more the better)

A ruler sometimes may be required for perfect length



Directions:

1. Tear off about 7 inches of duct tape. Tear quickly and firmly so as to not crumple or mis-rip the tape.

2. Place your 2 1/16 gauge wherever you would like.

3. Put the tape over the gauge and place gauge in the middle. Gently lower the tape onto the gauge and adhere to surface.

4. And you're done. When in boost the gauge may tend to break free of its duct tape bonds. A few more layers of tape may be required. Use at your own risk.

Its not just you i didnt see it move either. Maybe a lil more vaccume but the needle never crossed to boost from what i saw.

i paused the video. he was boosting 7psi. if i could figure out how to take a screenshot of the video i would post it. i tried "prnt screen" and the video diditn show up in the shot..
