wow, that would be hot if he would just de-rice the exterior of the car, and do something about those door panels, they just don't look right up against that dash.

I love how when these engines came out that everyone said we cant put them into our cars. But anything is possiable. Even the dash. :)

ugh.. nice engine, wrong era...

I got limp dick on that one for some reason, probably because I have this feeling that the car is a complete hack job. But I could be wrong ::)

I say good job to him, its a sleeper. I don't think I would have done it to the 4th gen. 5th gen would have looked better. he should really do something to the door panels. they looked smashed in there. and lose those rimes. and its a pretty cool car.

what really makes me like this car is the duct tape and the way the engine looks really fucked up the way it sits in the bay.

clubrsx are haters for the 4th gens. and you guys are jealous (for the people who said it prolly don't run) if you had that engine bolted up into a 4th gen civic or 3rd gen rex you'd be pretty damn happy... in my friends 01 civic ex, it took him 3 months just to do the wiring from the K20 engine, thats props

Re:k20 in a 4g CIVIC! (and a surprise twist)

It looks like he just bought a whole front clip from a wrecked rsx. If he had to re-wire the ignition I bet it was a nightmare. Those things are all computer-chippy and stuff. :P

nigel 02-26-2004 12:02 AM

Re:k20 in a 4g CIVIC! (and a surprise twist)

I would think that you would just tear all the wires out of an rsx and drop them in. so really I dont think the wiring was that hard to to. its prolly a whole front clip just stuffed into a 4g. also the radiator is zip tied in. lol

Re:k20 in a 4g CIVIC! (and a surprise twist)

If he didn't get the ignition and the engine together (or ecu or something) then I think he would have to get it re-keyed by the dealer. Some anti-theft system or something. Sport Compact Car put a rsx-s engine into a civic also, but it was a brand new Civic. Thing is, they only did the engine, since the rest of the Civic was cherry. They had to get the dealer to re-key it.

He definitely swapped the whole wiring harness. You can tell by the fuse box.
