Just weighed my CRX
 

Well, the other day at the track, i decided to roll up on the big scale, and weight my crx. Its an 89, si, stripped past the seats, front and rear sway bars, and i put the stock rims back on. I figure the wieght of the two bars make up for not having any rear interior. It came out to 2070 lbs. Lighter than i axpected, but thats without me in it. Add in another 150lbs for me, and that comes out to 2220lbs. Not bad for an 89 si.

Thats a good idea I should weigh mine.. Its gotta be hella light right now(no passenger seat, insulation, or spare/cargo cover.. on the old eye scale Im predicting 1950..

My car isn't a CRX, and this has nothng to do with this topic at all, but I 'rhino-liner'd my whole car interior while I had it bare. It really works to stop the vibrations and ----. Ever since I replaced my carpet, the car doesn't smell like pot anymore!

I'm jealous of all of you. Almost all of your cars are so much lighter than my sunfire. Its probably around 2800 and 2950 with me in it...that can make a huge difference in my limitations compared to you guys. I can make the power... but i certainly cant utilize it as well as most of you because of the weight :(

I payed 90$ for a giant tub of it, and i put it on with a regular paint roller.

You gotta use it all once you open the can, because it starts to get hard right away.

lol crippled that is pretty funny. Really good idea actually. That rhino liner stuff is sweet. I used to take company trucks at my summer job to get them sprayed with the rhino stuff. It made a big difference.

Worked excellently. Considering no air can get to the metal, I don't have to worry about rust. (well, at least inside the car)

I should do my whole car in rhino liner. It would be very rugged, and wouldn't show dents and dings.

i weighed my 90 standard hatch with a zc and it was 2120, is that a pretty average weight? full interior, minus the tiny piece of plastic on the hatch....it rattled so i removed it.

crippled...it can still rust because you just trapped moisture under the liner..you just wont see it coming. its just like when you put bondo on a car, it can rust under it

You fuckers!!! >:( Now I'm curious as to how much my car weighs. The only place to weigh cars around here is the dump. I guess I'm gonna take a trip out there. I wonder if that thing is accurate?????

Ok. I have my car on four bathroom scales right now. Do I add the total up and thats what my car weighs? I'm kinda confused because the scale spun around a couple times. I have to add each revolution. Its really hard to figure out by yourself. Does anybody know if this is accurate?

Add all 4 scales together, multiply by 8, and divide by 4.

I have a 1990 CRX DX(SI CONVERSION)Custom Sub enclosure, Full Interior. I weighed it the other day and it weighed 2000lbs without me in it.

i have seen mud trucks painted w/rino liner (on the exterior) it looks like primer from a distance. i wonder if police radar/laser would bounce off that and give a good reading? oh well.. i'm gonna do my whole crx unibody with por-15 .. i dont think it will add too much weight. i'll just take the metal bumpers out if it does haha.

You may wanna get that scale check dude I doubt that.. Your chassis and motor with those gay side impact beams is already 2000lbs

It was wighed at a WEIGH STATION, the one's on the side of the road they use to weigh trucks. Sure, it is off a little, but I also weighed it at two different weigh stations, and they were both the same!
