Well that showing was just pathetic!

I've been watching games when I go home for lunch, and the US looked like amateurs out there. they lost 2 games and tied one. That's just sad- What about that adidas commercial or whatever where the dude says the world no longer looks forward to playing us? what a crock!

It made sense though when "Around the Horn" came on and the one dude says the average salary to play in the MLS league is $25,000 a year, who wants to go do something like that? They'll never get decent players if they don't pay for them.

Then again, I still hate watching soccer, so maybe the only reason I care is because basketball is over. >:(

the new york MLS teams offered Ronaldo a 10yr 110 million dollar contract that he turned down

Soccer is still the best sport in the world! But yeah the US played terrible in their showing, but they did hold off Italy in a 9 vs 10 game, so that was about their only highlight of the tourny.

That's bull ---- if any sport is for fags it would be baseball, all they do is stand around in a field all game long. Soccer is one of the only sports that reqires both individual and team skills.
