Haven't you ever heard of target shooting or clay pigeons? You can shoot a gun without killing something/somebody and you certainly can own one without killing something/somebody.

This may just be where i live, but i have a lot of guns, I set up the clay pidgeon thrower 10 yrds from my from door-Sinister can vouch for that. But, I've never shot anything that was at one point breathing. I'm just not that into having to clean it afterwords.
