Well I knew this was coming sometime soon. Well it started first like two weeks ago when I gave my supervisor a new doctors excuse since the old one didn't have a date on it so he said he needed one with one and he made a big fuss about it and told me I was gonna have to work the weekend. ---- that! I never work the weekend being that we have a designated weekend shift and I only work mon-thurs. for 10hr shifts to make 40 hours. My doctors excuse was for only to work 40 hours and he had no problem with that. I've got really bad social anxiety and have been taking meds' for it and actually took this job being that it was closer to home since my illness affected my driving. Anyways come last friday before last and I got a call from my doctor's office saying that my general manager called wanted to see my medical records and speak to my doctor! Well they could only do that with my permission and I told them a big "hell no!" Then monday came and my boss told me that the head honcho wanted to speak to me. Oh here we go! He starts blabbering on saying how has every right to see my records and ---- and that my doctors excuses aren't ----. Then he tells me that my position in the company is being evaluted. WTF? So the week goes by and nothing. Then this past friday I was looking around online on our state's job service and low and behold my position is posted online. Fucken great! We I'm like I'm not gonna sit on my ass so I started looking around and picked up two applications and turned one in that same day to a new Porsche dealership for a parts counter position. Then today. Tension was in the air... I do my usual things when I come in and then my supervisor comes in and I say to him, so when were you gonna let me know about my position?" Well how do you know it's your position? I'm thinking to myself well there's only me and a dept. supervisor here and my position is being evaluted. You do the math. So the day goes on and nothing has happened yet and up comes 10 minutes before my shift is done and my boss tells me to come up to the office to a minute. Oh here go ::) Well, theres the general manager, HR, my boss and the supervisor. It's not looking to good on my side. Then me and the general manager go at it arguing back and forth and noone really talks back to this guy being that he's the 2nd to top guy in the company and stands like almost 7' tall. Me I'm only 5'5" so it's like David and Goliath in a no holds bar discussion and everyone else in the room isn't saying a word. Finally he's talking about how to run a business and I basically laugh and roll my eyes and tell him that this place is a revolving door with employees beig that they treat people like ---- and work em to the bone and work every freaking weekend and OT you wonder why people leave or come to work pissed off everyday. Hell about 6 months ago a guy fucken killed him one weekend. That was about it that he took from me and told my boss and supervisor to get me out here and escort me out. Damn it felt good getting that out since noone probably ever told him that to his face. Sorry for the novel but damn that felt good to get that out. Damn I haven't been unemployed for awhile or fired.

my boss tried to fire me when they said i made a sexual remark about one of the girls there.. when she blatantly tried to touch me and she was ------ sick.

i told him about this.. and they changed their story about trying to fire me.. stupid fucktards

Sorry to hear about it dude, but running a business is stress. Not having employees who can work when you want them to work is the shittiest thing in the world. You feel like you're backed into a corner, because you hired them, and you can't just fire them for not being able to work when your business needs them for fear of having a lawsuit brought against you, but at the same time, you have to pay someone else to work the shift or even worse--HIRE AN EXTRA EMPLOYEE, those damn taxes eat you alive. :-X End of story, if you have conflicts with management ESPECIALLY over when you can/cannot work, expect to be looking for a job, sooner rather than later. :-\

I agree, and you actually have a case. 1. They tried to solicit your medical records without your knowledge. 2. They're trying (actually did) fire you as a result of your condition (though social anxiety is a ----- condition ahahaha). 3. They continually harassed you in the work environment and 4. the big bomber...said your medical condition doesn't mean ---- and neither do your records. ouch! stupid...equal employment...ouch HUGE rights violation....

I see $$$ in your future...simply walk into any normal attorny office and explain.

Medical discrimination, plain and simple. They attempted to violate your privacy rights by demanding medical records. Sue them, they'll settle out of court. Find an employment law attorney, you can get a free consultation, and they will take your case on what is called "contingency" basis. Which means, if you don't win, you don't owe the attorney anything.

They knew they since I wasn't past my one year I couldn't be under the family medical leave act and knew they could do anything they wanted. Everything he came at me with I just told him the absolute truth and that pissed him off more and more until he heard enough. ------- jerk off needed to be put in his place plain and simple. Well time to be a mooch and call and just my unemployment benefits.

I don't blame you 1 bit for telling your boss exactly how you felt. It's kind of funny in a way, but if money is more important to him than the own health of his employees, that place is certainly not worth it.

---- ----- medical condition. I ------- got a different job so I wouldn't have to drive as far and I liked my last job and had no problems with it or the people or management and they had no problems with my condition. If I had the money I would get a lawyer and go after those rat bastards but after you get fired your incomes kinda take a hit even with an unemployment check still. It's so easy to say sue them but hell you have to pay just to talk to a lawyer and I don't even have that money. :'(

go find one that will take part of the settlement as payment. I mean hell, just because you lose 50% of the settlement still means you get 50% of money that right now...you're just let slip away...

If you get fired because you didnt take the trash out after you showed your boss your medical paper work, thats legit. found that out the hard way one time.

sorry to hear about your situation, but I think having to give your place of employment a doctors excuse is ------- gay in the first place. It sounds like a demeaning and condescending practice. This is real life, not elementary school.

Couldnt have said it better. Most contingency lawyers around here take 30-40%. And the best part is, 5 mintues into your first discussion they know if they have a case or not. After that...it's all about how much $$$ you can get.

DOCUMENT EVERYTHING! Get witnesses from work that will back your story up. Any letters or emails your boss(es) sent you will help.

Go talk to a lawyer. It costs $0!
