Just finished installing water temp bung...need opinions *PICS*
Well shitty pics...
anyways So there is the radiator return off of the head and I just used a big damn drill bit and drilled a hole so that i could thread the piece in there it was pretty tight but once i got started it went in perfect then i backed it out, cleaned up the hole and took all the shavings off etc, mixed up some good old JB weld and put that all around it and then threaded it into the hole, and then put some all around it to seal it up... Will the jb weld hold up to that ---- or do you think it will break through and leak? http://www.sunfox.net/crx/temp1.jpg http://www.sunfox.net/crx/temp2.jpg |

jb weld liquifies at 600 F. i think youll have other things to worry about before the bung if your coolant is >600 F

LOL....
if it is for a D16, get one of those water neck from a 92 to 95, which comes with a bleeder bolt, take that bolt out and tap it to whatever thread u needed.( it`s not like u will ever use it anyway :P) |

look at the pic, thats for a dual cam, and yes you do use the bleeeder valve, or well, your supposed to.

Re:Just finished installing water temp bung...need opinions *PICS*
well i was going to use the bleed valve which is already on there (dohc zc) but I need to keep that becuause of it's fuuction...i dont want hydrolock or whateve the ---- it's called
plus, just the probe was bigger than the whole bleeder itself, i would have ended up drilling out the entire mounting point to get the bung in... this postion is off the chain now i just need to get my damn intake gasket and im ready to put my ---- together |
