man is it just me or have there been alot a rotary threads lately. more people starting to like them now.

It's RWD and people all of the sudden think that drifting will be the next big thing. That, and they are cheap and they are out there if you look.
Took me all of about 10min to find a decent 80% built car for $1500-

Buying a used rotary motor is seriously iffy unless you know the previous owner. I wouldnt even cosider bringing home a rotary motor. Now bringing home parts to rebuild a rotary is another story...
