In your vast experience, at what point does a Vitara piston let go? Please provide pics of said failures, so I can assure myself that it was not caused by tune. Not that I'm calling BS on you, but this is very very hard to believe... I highly doubt a lump of metal just fails without being hammered on.

Grain flow associated with forgings isn't all that and a bowl of grits. It lends a little more mechanical strength in the ring land area which you only need if you plan on abusing the engine with mild detonation, but is pointless when tuned correctly. If the tune is completely JDM, then you normally only melt part of a piston or fracture around an intake valve relief where a cast unit has a complete hole in the center.

do you not read the posts this kid is making he said that this is his first time to the dyno there for i highly highly ------- doubt that he has been running for 9 MONTHS at 20+ psi daily (like his first post says) on a street tune ... i under stand there are freak motors but to get raped daily at 20 psi on a street tune and then put down 400 whp 9 months later .. on a 2 layer h.g. im not say'n this kid is lying he obviously hit 400 whp but i doubt it gets beat daily at 20+ psi on a street tune and not for 9 months specialy not by a joe shmo tuner, if thats the case this kid is the next jeff evans .. and i do know people from idahostreetracing.com i have been there since day one becouse of bart off of the club-s12.org site ... i believe some of your story but not all of it .. just my opinion ...

^^ tard

Is there some magical part of tuning that everyone can't seem to comprehend until the car sits on a dyno?

lol ok i loose its provin here that its ok to rape a car with a ripped apart oem head gasket on suzuki pistons with 20+ psi on a street tune with a nasty dip in it thats been there for 9 months .. looks healthy ... p.s. if you think there is no difference between a street tune and a dyno tune get out of cars before you look like a bigger jackass .. i have not seen one street tuned 800+ whp honda ... theres a reason if you dont know it ill explain it to you

Uh, because it's damn hard to street tune 4-550 whp depending on how heavy the chassis is due to zero traction?

Wes cruised around for a couple months off his street tune before the 404 whp dyno. You go, stunna, explain to me how I fucked that up? 9 psi/18-20 psi and spraying a 75 shot on top of it for months, and while the engine has issues (due to redneck machine shop installing sleeves that keep sinking) it was the turbo that died that caused him to totally rebuild + resort the vehicle. He has a fresh short block, but plans are to blow the old one up first.

Nah, I-40W ten miles outside of town has some nice double guardrail no speedtrap stretches a couple miles long, there's the "dip" in I-40 in town right before the east side intersection with I-240, Sweeten Creek is a nice long flat stretch that cops patrol heavily but can't catch up to you in time so it's fun to buzz in the faster cars before going home for the night, and Future 26 heading towards TN is a ------- awesome stretch of road with long straights three lanes wide and gentle sweeping curves you feel stable at doing 120.

B16CRXT got the Future 26 experience, he'll tell you it was a great place to do 120 mph pulls.
