I don't like the end tank design at all, doesn't look like it would flow nearly as well as the older ones ("top plate" or no "top plate")


BTW (this is a mass ranting) stop bitching about tyrus' intercoolers not having a top plate, what ------- good is a god damned top plate anyway? it's not like you can see the ------- thing if the intercooler is mounted well anyway.

Bamboo, the top and bottom plates don't have anything to do with the whole structure and support of the entire intercooler. People are lying to you. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

I think he's refering to the end tanks? which will flow just fine. ---- I've seen squared end tanked intercoolers flow over 500 hp ::)

He's trying to start a war over the plate on the top of the core and the one running along the bottom of the core. They didn't used to have that, now they do, I made a comment about it, and now bambi is trying to start another verbal war on the subject because he has the one that is a core welded between endtanks.

HAve you seen the ones with endtanks on the same side. That is the kind I want but he said he is going to charge $400. If it was $300 I would buy in a second.

Damnit, maybe I'll need to finally give in a put an intercooler on my ------- car :P Price seems right, I wonder if he offers any HMT discount on top of that? :P

Well, I just bought one. Hopefully its good. I'll need better fuel management now going from my 11 psi non intercooled to removed wastegates and intercooled 8)

the end tanks just look short for some reason, it looks as if there will be signifigantly better flow on the bottom half of the intercooler then the top half of it. Not that it wouldn't be able to handle a bunch of power, just, it seems like it could be far more effecient by utilizing the whole core. maybe i'm nitpicking over something that will not net you anything. Just seems like a steep angle for air to get all the way up to the top of that intercooler smoothly.

maybe a wider end tank to go with the additionnal height? it's no big deal, wouldn't make a difference on my car anyway.
