Default JohnnyRaceCar/Tyrus Intercooler Sale $175/5" $205/6"

Well Iam getting ready to pick up an intercooler from him and I see this. So I hope it helps someone.
Was going to get 5" but for $15 more than old prices i can get the 6", yeah me!

So no one feels left out CCA is also having a sale on there 6.5" for $250

I know they are a better quality(CCA) but I want cheap at this point in the game.

That's a good deal for an intercooler that's not as great as CCA intercoolers. :P

well after checking it out iam going to get the 5" since the only difference is the fins are left on one end on the 6" so i think for $175 iam good. $250 at CCA is good but iam going low budget and trying to do things right at the lowest price.

Well if you dont know Tyrus uses Ford Powerstroke intercoolers and cut them into 3's so the 5" ends on the tube portion of the intercooler on both the top and the bottom and the 6" end on one side with the tube and on the other with the top or bottom of the powerstroke intercooler.

Like so, do you understand?

5"

6"

If I had the ability to weld aluminum myself I would do it but I dont so Ill buy from Tyrus.

Also the Custom Coach comes with top and bottom plates, and doesn't appear to have been spray painted silver which I've seen the tyrus look like. They both seem to work well, I just love my Custom Coach.

You mean top and bottom mounting brackets? real men use zip ties for mounting, and 2 mounting spots are more than enough. Also, that isnt mexican chrome spray paint my friend, that would be called brushed aluminum, and for like a whole 10 dollars more they can be polished to the "bling bling" effect.

No, actually thats not what I meant, but good try.
The custom coach has top and bottom plates that run the length of the intercooler that the tyrus doesn't have. Here's the tyrus:

Now on the bottom of the intercooler in this pic, your seeing the actual uh, air passageway deal (----, I don't know what to call it.) The custom coach has another plate on the top and the bottom that cover over the ends, which would seem to be better for durability issues.
And if you read my post I said "appears to have silver spray paint" on it. That's because I installed bamboosevens tyrus long before I had even seen a custom coach and I made that observation then too. You may be able to polish it, but to me it looked spray painted. Wether it was or it wasn't, I don't know, but given the top and bottom plates and the fact that I saw both of them up close out of the boxes they were shipped in, I'll take the custom coach. The tyrus works great on bamboos car, I was just stating my experiences with both.
And the custom coach only has two mounting points. :P
