Jerking steering wheel

I was driving my brother-in laws car today, and while i was driving it at low-speeds, the steering wheel would HARD CORE jerk to the left. Then it would go normal the JERK really hard.. It jerks so hard that you almost loose control on the car...
98 Honda Civic
B16a2 Swap....
New passanger Side Axle
Used "old" Driver side axle...

Give me some ideas to fix this damn honda...

ever check the alignment... that'd be the first thing I look at.

Jack your ---- up and inspect your entire front suspension right now. There's gotta be something that will be obvious to cause something serious like that. Wiggle your front tires back and forth with your hands in the same direction as turning the wheel right and left would do, see if there is a lot of play. My guess is it needs more than an alignment.

i have 17s on my civic and about 2 days it jerked for no reason i almost lost control. but with my 17s it always jerks when i go over potholes and ----. do you have bigger rims that might be it or the alignment.

Put the axle in all the way! Sounds like its backing out a hair every now and then on the transmission side.
