on 4/20 (one of my favorite days) at 7a.m pacific ------- california time, orange county sheriffs woke me up off the couch in my room with a flashlight and arrested me with a warrant (of which i dont want to speak of how i got it, not drug related tho). in front of my fiance and son, they cuffed me and i went quietly. what a rude awakening. i was booked into the orange county jail where the guards are the best at what they do. i stayed in a 60 man cell consisting of whites, blacks, mexicans and asians. luckily, i'm asian/pacific islander. why? they were the dominant race in the jail. none of us over 6'...but all of us feared. they immediately took me in and had my back if anyone woulda even thought about ------- around with me. i bunked with an 18 year old kid that is a father of a 3 year old boy and a 8 month old daughter, convicted murderer. he's been locked up for nearly 2 years. a majority of the clique i was with was vietnamese. man, you guys remember that "you want beef foo?" video. these ***** aint no joke. i spent 6 days (but sentenced to 10) in their and it was the worst yet most valuble experience of my life. i'm starting to realize how much i have and how much i really love my fiance (we've been fighting).

funny/sad experience while locked up:

it took me 5 days to take a shower (no i wasn't butt scared, you can only shower 1 at a time) cause the place is ------- filthy. anyways, when i did, i fucked around and sang in the shower. i'm an asian, and where there's slanted eyes...there's karaoke. so i'll say i'm a pretty good singer (i'm actually the ----, that's how i'd get ----- back in the day). anyways, my asian people overheard me. a couple of them called me over and asked me to sing the neil diamond song i was just singing (love on the rocks). then they asked if i knew a begees song (how deep is your love), so i sang it. little did i know, they whoop out a stack of lyrics 2 inches thick, printed front and back and the crew of about 15 gathered and just kept requesting songs!! it was the weirdest ---- ever! here i was blowing notes at the top of my lungs...for the first time....TO A BUNCH OF DUDES! it was the greatest irony in my life. but they really enjoyed it. i knew 8/10 rnb/slow/love songs they requested. THEY WERE ALL LOVE SONGS! except for 2 linkin park tracks. but the look on those guys' faces evoked nothing but nostalgia.

moral of the story...
these guys were deprived of everything; choice of tv show, music the sound of their favorite hits. i felt somewhat proud to be able to please the ears of so many people. and i felt fine with them using me as their radio.

in return, i got mad commissary (jailhouse goods) and orange pruno enough to get me twisted.

would i do it again?

longest i was ever locked up was 5 days, but i hear ya man. its interesting how you appreciate everything you have alot more when you get out, no matter how little you have.

haha Chris. The only part I don't believe is that people were afraid of you. You're like 4 foot 9 ain't ya? Glad to hear you learned from it, and glad to hear that non-whites can appreciate neil diamond. Get with some Chicago (Saturday, in the park) or some Kenny Rogers and I'll be super impressed.

Although I've never been in jail, the closest to it is when I was in the Air Force for boot camp. After 5pm the sgt would go home and leave us to shine shoes/clean ----/take showers, and we had this little shy dude from honduras or some ----. He was some type of Asian. Anyway, I was explaining about "Randoms".

(Ran-dumz - As an old song randomly crosses your mind, you sing a line, and then tell your friend "Now that's a random". The only rule is it can't be a huge hit, or something completely obvious.

So anyway, this ----------er took it to the next level during the evening "fun" time when the sgt wasn't around. He never even lived in this country before and he could pull out way more songs than anyone. It reminds me of your story, except even this guy was bigger than you. lol.

yea i got locked up for a night at the precinct on 4/20 also, AND had to goto school the next day.. dam, cuffs hurt when they're on for 4 hours straight

but that scared me straight, im never going to do anything illegal again. people joke with me "hey man, you gonna steal that?" and im like "stfu, not funny."

I've been locked up like 7 or 8 times ---- sucks the longest was 4 days nobody gave me problems except the sheriffs probally becuase i'm indian. they have no problem giving you a elbow in the face I heard some crazy storys about those ----------ers in Harris County (houston. tx).
