finally we might actually get soemthing to go play in. the weatherman is ------- retarded.

forecast for today:
34* for the high
light snow starting at 4pm w/ no accumulation


actual conditions:
22* and dropping (its colder now than at 11pm last night)
snow started around 12:30 and there is almost an inch



looking at the radar for my area there seems to be some sort of lake affect snow for like a 20mile radius around me. i live about 30yards off the potomac river sandwiched w/ mountains on either side(my back yard is great for sledding, my kids should have fun). the radar shows a bubble of precipitation centered in the valley i live in that keeps getting thicker and isnt moving with the rest of the clouds.

my question is it really lake affect snow(or river in my case) when the river is only about a 1/4mile wide?? the clouds are kinda high and i can see the tops of the mountains around me so they arent keeping the clouds in like i have seen before. if it matters i am at about 1800ft elevation

update: we are close to 2.5" now. its snowing hard enough that i cant see the top of the mountain across the river anymore. but it doesnt seem to be adding up to much.

its kinda funny that the weatherman changed the forecast for today about an hour ago and he is still wrong. hopefully he'll be wrong about the .25" of ice we are suposed to get tonite. likei said i live on the side of a mountain and i doubt i'll be getting anywhere with ice on the ground. its about 1mi to the main road and its all up hill

im right next to rt.50 and ive got maybe an 1-2" right now but nothing is sticking on the roads. we need about 2 ft. after its all said and done. and ALL weatherpeople are retarded!!!!

I find it funny that weathermen can't predict the weather a day in advance, yet we have politicians telling us we'll all be dead in 100 years from global warming. lol

down around fredericsburg and then south to richmond is supposed to get like 6", but then it will be freezing rain tonite for them. my mom lives ~30east of fredericksburg and its been snowing heavy all day

i am redoing a pool right off the aquia harbour exit and i hope it gets ------- snowed under!!!! its not been heavy all day here but its coming down pretty good they said something like 1-2.5" here in fairfax which its probably pretty close to that now.. dammit dont quite on me now!!!
