i wish the best for your family dave. something like this puts life into perspective for sure. the scariest moment of my life was when my son was born. he was over 11lbs, and so he was tough for my wife to push out. he came out the colour of a plum... there was a nurse on top of my wife trying to push him out of her belly... definitely scary. he was ok, other than a couple broken ribs. i think we got off pretty lightly compared to some, but when you experience it first hand, there is nothing more terrifying.
