Its a girl!!!
 

Well, my wife has given birth to our beautiful baby girl. Her name is Avery Beatrice Callahan. She was born on Easter at 10:59 in the AM. She is 6 lbs. 5 oz., 19.5" long and has red hair like my wife and son. The delivery didn't go well at all and we feared the worse....My wife and my daughter had to be hooked up to all sorts of monitoring equipment because the baby showed signs of heart rate drop then mild tachacardia.....

Then added water to the womb to expanded so they could get the baby off the cord. It worked and the heart rate stabilized, that is until it was time for her to be born. During pushing they lost the heart rate and then my wife had to force out the kid with the help of some scissors....

She came right out and was looking great, then it all started getting scary and painful for us. She started to breathe funny and her legs were turning blue. They rushed her away from us while my wife cried. Its hard to see someone so small that can't fight back in soo much distress.

They got her stabilized and said it was often that happened and not to worry, that is untill they came in today and told us Avery had to have a spinal tap and that her blood is low.

We can't take her home. They said maybe not for a month and that it could be very serious.

Its hard to type this with so many tears in my eyes.

Please, if you are religious at all, pray for my daughter.

I'm not a religious dude but I'll light my Virgin Mary candle I bought while shopping at the local beaner grocery store and hope for the best. This sounds like when my son was born and had the same problem. He was only kept for 3 days in the baby ER but seeing him with wires attached to him isn't something you want to see. He's cooler then the Fonz now so keep your head up bro.
