Default It's been a while, small update....cavy goes 14.5 @98

Late in July the Supercharger eco cavalier made it to the track. I should be the only one with this setup that I'm aware of. I purchased an ion redline engine and put the supercharger on my 2.2 ecotec. Had to make a throttle body adpater and a few other small modiciations and yes it's intercooled

Anyways slip reads:

.1470........reaction
2.2479.......60 ft
6.2780.......330 ft
9.5269.......1/8 mile
76.12..........mph
12.2691.....1000'
14.5909......1/4 mile
98.26...........mph

Current mods are suspension, short shifter and the supercharger. Currently hitting up to 10 psi on the stock size pulley and exhaust. Using an emanage to control the fuel/timing. First gear is hell with this car, I need to launch lower all I'm doing is spinning. Trap speed tells me I'm faster than this... arg

I need to do the exhaust hopefully soon, that would really help this car out a lot. 1 7/8 just isn't cutting it, exhaust sounds like a rush of air when I go by from what I'm told.

Some pics...

last pic was myself and my friends 2000 supercharged cavalier.

Damn 14.5 in a 2.2 supercharged cavy? I thought it'd run faster? You should go back to turbo'd like you have in the sunfire.

Stillnotturbo,

I could probably knock a few tenths off that time if I had more practice launching it. Keep in mind the stock exhaust is very restrictive, I'm sure I'll pick up some time when I get a header and 2.5" exhaust.

The sunfire went .1 faster on 7 psi'ish but I'm trapping higher now with this car than I did with the fire and the smaller turbo.
Upgrades to come.... Smaller pulley (going to push 15-16 psi, exhaust, and water injection). I'm shooting for mid-high 13's on street tires but time will tell. Eventually I'd like to buy eagle rods, weisco pistons, get an lsd and other driveline parts along with
a direct port nitrous setup for the track 75shot plus boost sounds nice but again...that's way down the road.

BoostedZsix,

Yes, Practically twins. His is a 2000 so he has the 2.4 LD9 engine and he's using the GM m45 supercharger with water injection, smaller pulley and exhaust. I beleive he pulls 14.4 @ 97 with that setup. His bumpers are also different but apparantly he's
purchasing ones from an ls sport like mine.

That's very impressive, can't wait to see the times w/ headers and exhaust. What size are you going for, just curious?
