ITR is named #1 most stolen

I guess many of you know by now, but it was on the news today and on MSN.com, that the Integra Type R was rated as the # 1 most stolen vehicle in the world. It was chosen over many BMW's and other fancy vehicles. My question, why isn't the civic type r in there. They were talking about the teg to be considered extremely beautiful, which i agree with. :)

because there's no civic type R in the US....eliminating all US theft numbers for that car. DER

and integras are ugly without the japanese front end.

true that, i love the japanese front end. What was the yearly production number for teg type r's wasn't it real low. I'm only 21 and i was in seventh grade when they came out.

Somehow that doesn't surprise me at all.

I'd also guess that more of them are stolen from socal than any other area.

It's not specifically the ITR but ALL Integra coupes.

Yeah, that was the first time i had ever seen an integra top the list, though. On MSN, they single out the type r.

2 years ago integra hit 6 or 7 out of the top 10 sports :(

it's virtually impossible to steal a bimmer or benz with out a flat bed therefor making it hard for all those ------- fobs to jack them

Did you actually read it? because nowhere in the article do they even mention the Type R.... Just show the Type R and say "pictured here is the integra type r"

Ya there was like a total of 20,000 brought to the states and its the most stolen. You think they really break down the #'s depending on a level. Its body style/car/generation that its broken down too hence 94-01 integra etc.

here in az 99-00 SI's are numberone stolen. I dont like Type r's, even with full bolt on's i walk them in my POS neon, and the compression is too high for a comfortable turbo setup

Personally, i think a good theft deterrance for you guys who have a lot of stolen cars in your area is to just jack the car up on its side and make people think its non operable. If you have a descent hydraulic jack, its like a 2 min job before you go to bed.... Anyone Agree?

the 99 civic SI is 20 on the list
