Re:ITB's Just won some. need setup instructions.
Why would they have to be aluminum?
..and yes, I have access to a tig welder. It's a 5/8" steel flange. |
Re:ITB's Just won some. need setup instructions.
Oh I thought you wanted to have a smooth transition from your itbs to your runners, so i figured you were going to weld them. That would be the only reason I could see you doing all the work. (making a flange/runners etc) where as you could just take a stock one and do the same thing I did?
I assume you are just going to use silicone connectors similar to what I did? |
Re:ITB's Just won some. need setup instructions.
I'm making the flange because it's only costing me $20, and just welding the runners on.
I didn't use a stock manifold, so that they would line up better. |
Re:ITB's Just won some. need setup instructions.
im having problems sizing the picture
but.... it lines up perfect. why wouldnt this work? we will connect it with silicone hose... |
Re:ITB's Just won some. need setup instructions.
Depending on _how_ far back you put it, you might run into firewall clearance issues when you put the velocity stacks on.

Re:ITB's Just won some. need setup instructions.
Ehh i was just thinking, and come to think of it i have never seen it executed nor mentioned for that matter. Why not point the ITB's up towards the hoood and use a scoop to actually make all those gay hoood scoops into use and ITB's setup more efficient.
http://www.gameroom.com/gheyed/theory.txt If you rag on the time and effort i took to make this then screw you i was going to leave you guys with this http://www.gameroom.com/gheyed/theory2.txt This idea was copyrighted by gheyed as off never because i'm fake if you use this give me credit if you show it off :P |
Re:ITB's Just won some. need setup instructions.
You'd have a lot of turbulance in the runners that way.. ...and unless it has enough force to compress the air (which it doesn't) I don't think it'll more effective than "tuning" the runners based on scientific princples..
|
Re:ITB's Just won some. need setup instructions.
Well the picture doesn't mean anything i'm pretty sure there would be enough room to correctly make a gradual bend in the runners

how many PSI's would you be pushing? |
Re:ITB's Just won some. need setup instructions.
You'd be lucky to push 1"psi" with that sort of a ram air effect.. but.. I don't think the benefit would out weigh the design issues.
