Just throwing this out there..

Ill be going to Island Dragway located in NJ march 2nd.
Xenocron might show up, it would be cool if some guys made it out there.
Gates open 10-11 am. Run till 4 pm.

I might go, might take the nissan and see what it will run. If I can't get it to run at least a low 14 or hight 13 sec pass I might unhook the vac line to the wg >:D.

Corey its not the best prepped track at all.

But the crowd is not import. There are various hondas, mitsus and ----. But 90 % are domestic. Mostly race cars on sundays.

If youve run a good time at e town, dont expect to run it at island. its 550 above sea level.


BUT, i leave my parts and tools in the grass and dont worry about them being stolen. Thats good enough for me.

I like it, its not infested with ricers and the people are nice. The owner of the track let me use the welder at his house to fix my snapped axle once.

no i usually got to lebanon valley, which is notorius for being one of the worst prepped tracks in the world. they only use VHT once a day and their cleanup is a bag of speedy dry, thier feet to rub it in, and a broom to sweep it up. a car that goes 10.9 at LVD will probably go 8.6 at any other track.

Ive been to Lebanon valley. Didnt think it was so bad. But that was years ago.

1st time ever on a drag strip actually.

Track prep at Island ? A mop to wipe down the line and thats about it.

It should be called mom and pops dragstrip lol

Haha I love it.

Another cool thing is the older Domestic guys are cool when they see a quick import.
And they always point at stuff in my engine bay lol.
