Introduction from the UK
Hi All,
I've been looking at posts and information on this board for a while now. So I thought i would post an introduction from myself. As the title says I'm from the UK. I don't have a Jap car as such but, It is the same as a Civic made by MG-Rover. Many of the syspension components are the sme as the Civic but the engine and transmision are different. Added some Pics (if they work) ;D https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...674Side_on.jpg https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.../1674low_1.jpg |

#1 rule: read all of the FAQ before posting. #2 rule dont use the search function, it sucks. welcome. |
Re:Introduction from the UK

and i hope that second one isn't photochopped. that ish is loooow. no way that car would make it here in southern california. #2 rule dont use the search function, it sucks. |

Re:Introduction from the UK
i like rovers.

Re:Introduction from the UK
Welcome, and it looks good slammed. What do those have for engines? There must be plans for a turbo setup right?! :D
|
Re:Introduction from the UK
The engine is a 1800cc alloy block and head with semi wet liners like some of the honda engines. Its 120 bhp standard. I am looking to put a turbo on when the waranty runs out. Rover build the same engine with a turbo as standard in the 1800cc. It puts out 190bhp, But i know there a a few over here who are trying to up the power. so far there up to 280bhp. The big problem is the cylinder liners crack when the boost is increased. So they are getting a new type of liner made that should not crack, but not cheap.

|
Re:Introduction from the UK
Yeah HMT continues to invade Europe haha. Got some Dutch boys on here, but think your one of the first from the UK.
Spent a few days in London last summer, had fun, saw some nice UK CRX's :) and my first live-in-person Mclaren F1. Funny thing to, it was a tiny little shop in London; just enough room for an F1 and a hot chick behind a small desk. Welcome to HMT |
Re:Introduction from the UK
Your right about it looking a bit BMW. Rover was owned by them for about 4 years. They bought the company too split it up. They more than doubled their money back by selling Range Rover to Ford ??? . Heres a few more pics for now.
The BMW front https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...S120/Front.jpg And this is the engine bay, not of my car as its not been cleaned :-[ https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...120/engine.jpg I am interested to know if anyone has air syspension fitted to their Civic with the double wishbone type front syspension. |
Re:Introduction from the UK

Re:Introduction from the UK
that last one is too ricey, but i like the hatch ones
|
Re:Introduction from the UK
Again...welcome to HMT!
Your car looks awesome what all have you done to it or are you waiting for warranty to expire to do everything |
Re:Introduction from the UK
I'm collecting parts for when the warranty ends. First will be a set of adjustable spring platforms for the shockers. Then some bigger brakes. When i've got it to stop good the motor is getting blown. Not sure if it will be turbo or supercharger. If its supercharger it will be one of the VW type G chargers. They act more like a turbo giving more boost with more revs.
As for the bodywork I like the way it looks now but I may add some darker tints to the windows. |
Re:Introduction from the UK
thanks for your ass shot :-*
Damn them cars are hot... I really like the hatches too. Man ---- you european fuckers, you guys get all the cool cars :'( Even your Ford Escorts are pimp :-\ In this pic the fronts look like jaguar x-types, more on the blue one. https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...120/dayout.jpg |
