Introducing Myself..*NSFW*??

Hi everyone, first off I would like to say that this site kicks ass. My name is Jon and I am from Toronto, Canada. I have been a looooong time reader of this site but this is my first post. I have learned alot from this site and I am just about ready to move forward with my project. I feel like a very informed n00b so please go easy on me.

The car:
1988 Honda Civic DX (DPFI booo!!)
Stock D15b2 197KM
Stock everything

The planned mods:

JDM D15B VTEC w/OEM LSD
OEM replacement parts
DSM 450cc injectors
RFL BOV or DSM 1st gen
Walboro fuel pump
t25 or t3 turbo
BMC Log manifold
JRC FMIC (of whichever one i get my hands on)
all stainless steel lines
Uberdata

The car will be gutted except for the two front seats and dash. some ICE to numb my brain from the exhaust.

My plans for the car are simple. 200+ HP and 200 TQ. there is no point of shooting for 400hp when im first learning to handle 200hp. Also this car will is being built for acceleration because i only really drive in the city, so im willing to sacrifce top end for quickness. I will be doing this on a budget hence why i picked d-series, in order to put more money into other parts of my project. I like being the underdawg and hope to learn alot on my way to satisfying my dreams of boost.

thanks for taking the time to read.

Jon

welcome, sounds like you have put some thought/research into your future setup, good luck with it. Why go with the d15b2 and not a d16 or a mini-me?

Actually the D15b2 is the stock DX motor. 92 hp stock. I plan to replace the motor with the JDM d15b Vtec which comes with 130hp. it has all that i want without breaking the bank. High revving D that loves boost, vtec and OEM LSD. And for the price it can't be beat. I plan to fully tune this motor once its done to squeeze every single drop of performance.

thanks. Hopefully the d15/t25 combo is good for 200. Can this be achieved on stock internals?..should I spring for a bigger snail, or will lag be a huge factor in regards to the d15. I want to make that i got the basics covered before I leap in. Like the old saying "measure twice, cut once"

that is true.I am commited to the d15 but if turns out that its not going to happen or if I blow the motor beyond repair...then I will go with a d16.

i would say go with something bigger than a dsm t25...but thats because i like a little lag. And as my grandfather said: " I cut it twice and its still too short!!"
