Default Intreresting Idea.. Needs advice...

So I have a 98 Honda Civic EX Automatic... Yes yea I know automatics are gay, well I live in podunk nowhere and getting my hands on a swap is proving to be a pain in the ***... So anyway back to my story, I am planning on turboing my car I have the turbo (T25 eclipse) the innercooler (WRX intercooler) and a P28 that I am working on chipping... My dillema is this even though the P28 is for an automatic it still won't work with my transmission basically when I hook up the P28 the car will start but of course it runs shitty because of the IAC and when you try to shift the transmission it won't go because it is in shiift lock, so I use my spare key to get around the shift lock and I put it into D and the car goes nowhere so I put it into D1 and the car goes noewhere, and then I put it into 2 and the cars goes but it won't shift out of first it just revs to the moon and won't shift what so ever. So I talk to a few people and found out that the transmiission I have has 4 shift solenoids and the P28 is only setup for 2. So to make a liong story short I was thinking, if possible, finding out which chip in the A07 (I think is whats in my civic) that controls the transmission and putting it in to the P28 to see if maybe that would work... I just thought I should get some expert opinions on it and was hoping if it is possible if someone had a map of the inside of an A07 and a P28 so I know which chips to steal....

Anyways I am done blabbing so let me know...

redrum, murder spelled backwards.

You can't take anything from the P2P ecu and put it int he P28 to control the automatic. Your best option besides converting to a manual transmission, would be to get the transmission control module from an integra automatic and wire that in to control your D-series tranny.

It might be a lot of wiring mork, but it will work.

Good luck.

Jason Koehler has made a number of conversion harnesses to do just that. It can be done.
