intercooler piping
 
leaving right now to the chrome shop to do my intercooler piping! ahhhh $150.00 for all my piping and intercooler ends! got to make it look nice! but its costly yo make it look nice! has anyone ever chromed their down pipe? should i?

waste... as soon as it see's heat its gonna cook up like a nice ss auto manifold would... turn a weird bronze from the heat

yeah, the intercooler pipes should be fine, they don't get that hot, but i wouldn't suggest doing the downpipe, if anything, just get a nice stainless steel dp made.

The downpipes temp goes well into the 800-1200 degrees depends on your tuning etc..

chroming the downpipe is a bad idea. i would stick with the piping, or even if you had SS you can get them polished.

i would def suggest a SS DP, as it will get hit with water (from normal driving) and will be less likely to rust (unless your welder uses a mild steel wire instead of SS wire, it will rust at the welds like most "custom exhausts"

good idea guys! ill just keep the one i have ill wrap it with header wrap! thanks alot guys ill post pics when its all done! i cant wait

i'd just clean it up why get chrome IC piping seems pointless
