Insurance/Registration Rant!

Well I'm getting everything for the car to go back on the road today and what a hassle.

1: Lost registration, no problem, Just need Plate Number/Driver Licence. So I got that but the dumb girl Double charged me someone blaming it on the debit machine, So I had to go to the bank and Get valid proof that she did this (she didn't think she did). Sure enough double charge 84.00 For registration and plate stickers. SO I had to wait 45min while she was on the phone with the government hotline to get me my crdit.

2: Insurance company want a safety check on the car seeing as it is 15years old. I put all new brakes, driveshafts yada yada yada on it while it was parks so no big deal just Another 70.00 outa my pocket. DAMMIT!

Oh well, soon to have the boosted beast back!

ahh that sux man. mine has a little crack in it but i heard some where if you put clear nail polish on it it will keep it from cracking anymore. so i tried it and it hasnt expanded in the slightest since it happened (over a year ago now)

Damn, just get a new insurance agency. I have never heard of a safety check or anything like that.

he's right tho, canada sux for insurance. costs this, costs that, need this need that. its ridiculous.

ANY car that is 15+ yrs needs a safety certification to be insured. but you legally cant drive the car on the streets w/o insurance to go to a shop to get it certified. (figure that one out). ::)

Canada can SUCK for certain things.

Ya, that's why it's nice to have a Landscaping Business with a 18ft trailer to float it to the inspection. As for getting a new insurance company, I'm gonna pay roughly 250 a month with a completely clean record, the next closest company if I want to switch will start me off at 350-400. Damn Ontario Insurance. They keep saying the Government is gonna get on them to lower costs but you know how the government works!
