Insurance quote... surprised (cheap!)

I just got a quote through State Farm for $72/mo on my '95 325i (worth about $6k), no collision coverage, but everything else... and a $0 Comprehensive Deductible... that's what suprised me. They also are going to insure my bike ('97 CBR 600) for $20 a month ($50 deductible)... about half what I pay through progressive.

I was paying $85/mo. through Geico with a $500 comp. deductible, who quoted me $1200 a year for my bike. I told Geico to go F themselves with a rusty hammer.

However, I went in and talked to my local agent... the online quote was more expensive (not sure why??)... maybe they hooked me up with some random discounts.

Either way... state farm FTW. (22 yrs old, clean record)

What about you guys? Is this actually a good quote in comparison to your insurance?

That's actually a lot cheaper than my quote through state farm but that's prolly cause I have one speeding ticket that I got court supervision for and was in one accident (not my fault) and I'm still driving the car.

I pay about $86 a month for liability on my CRX, been with state farm for years and when I was in an accident with another state farm policy holder things went real fast and real smooth except for when they tried to give me a dicking on my settlement, but all insurance companies do that. They were fast though, when I told them I needed money for a rental car it was in my mail box about 2-3 days later.

yeah I wish I didn't have 22+ tickets (have lost count) and 4 license suspensions this year.

Last time I got insurance from geico, I didn't list all my citations so the quote came out cheap and I bought it online. A month or two later they sent a letter saying they were going to raise the premium after finding more stuff on my record, but they never raised the cost.

OMFG. Slow down! They might have meant they were raising the premium when the policy renewed... or you might be really lucky ^-^

I pay $172 a month for full coverage on my 98 civic and the 89 crx with a $250 deductable from progressive. State farm is cheeper but if you miss or are late on a couple of payments they cancel your policy and you can't get insurance through them again. Or at least that's what they did to both me and marcus
