Hey guys, my car got rear ended pretty fucken hard last night. I was sitting at a stop light and a Cadillac CTS wasn't paying attention and slammed into the driver's side of my rear bumper. I have a feeling my car is going to be totalled because of the low book value of these cars...but it was really nice.

I've got a few questions:

If the insurance company decides to total it, how do I go about buying it back? It's got a good B16 and good wheels on it and a couple hundred dollars of fresh front end work that I CAN'T afford to lose, no matter how much money they give me for it.

We both have the same insurance company / agent, will that affect anything?

My neck and upper back are sore as ----...should I go to the hospital or just take some vicodin I have left over? I'd like to go but I'm afraid I might get a bill and have trouble paying it or forwarding it to the insurance company to pay.

Basically I just want to know how to come out of this without getting screwed, and maybe coming out on top. The guy already admitted it was totally his fault (no ----) and he is a chiropractor so I can go to him if I need anything.

goto the hospital NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW, seriously, complain about your NECK NECK NECK NECK, make sure you emphasize neck pain. You will be billed for everything, the insurance compnay will cover it, goto the doctor AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN, once a week is good. complain more and more, get a CT scan, x-rays, EVERYTHING, this will rack the bill up SUPER HIGH, and take you lots of time, therefore your payment from the insurance company for pain and suffering will be more, they will most likely try to jew you at first, DO NOT TAKE THEIR FIRST OFFER AND KEEP ALL RECIPTS, they wanted to give me 2500 at first, i was like ---- no, loook at all this ---- i went through, and in the end i had 7200 dollars in my pocket that i had to pay NOBODY back. My health insurance paid for all the stuff, and the guys insurance company paid me, and from what i hear, if it takes over a year you can keep the money without paying it back to your health care company. It probably will take a long time to get the money in your hand, but it will be worth it, and whatever you do, DONT TALK TO THE GUY THAT HIT YOU, ---- if hes a chiropractor, he ------ rear ended you. ------ -------. youre in pain, youre hurt, now GOTO THE HOSPITAL

I'm white though. How do I get into the hospital if I can't pay for it? I've got insurance but I don't know if it covers this type of ----.

Another thing...my car is swapped, if the insurance adjuster looks at it and sees that it is swapped do you think he will say anything?

Dosent madder and u always have the right too keep the car.

i think the best thing is to have a picture of your engine bay. and point out all the aftermarket parts and reciepts if you have them. name the company and product to them and tell them they can price it out on the internet. or better have prices already for them. never had to do this but i think this is the best way to get your money back.
