Installing a sunroof? Good or Bad Idea.

I have a 92 civic 4 door, I would like to get a pop up sunroof installed in it, Is this good or bad, I mean the factory roof is just sheet metal, so If I was ro teinforce around where the glass would go then I should be fine right?

no need to reinforce imo, since the sunroof itself is a pretty sturdy piece

why don't you put a turbo on your car first. besides a sunroof is only good for one thing, chopping cats heads off.

no really, pop up sun roofs are ------- gay as ----.

why don't you tell him what you're really thinking, haha

i agree, dont waste money on a sunroof, i like the smooth lines on a roof with no sunroof
less wind drag and you have more money to go fast

I have a sunroof on my Civic and I think its only been open like once in a year and that was because some chick thought it was cool. Its a waste dude, dont blow money on it.

sunfroofs are nice, but eh. If anything because it seems like a lot of work, have a moon roof installed. Cut out the metal and just slap in a piece of plexiglass. The thing with these 'aftermarket' sunroofs/moonroofs though are they tend to leak. At least that was the case with the 'aftermarket' sun/moonroofs I encountered. And yea I'm sure there are some places that do a good enough job for where it won't leak.

don't do it! it will drop the resale value of your car dramatically.

Everyone I know that has had an aftermarket roof put in has regreted it. It is a lot of money for not a lot of function.
