Installed new suspension today, pics inside
Well, I finally got my suspension all ready to go and installed today.
Best part of the entire thing is, Mike (88crex) did all of the work. All I had to do was offer a second set of hands a couple times. This was really efficient for us lazy folks Anyhoo, here it all is, I wanna dial in the height a bit more but I must say the car rides...PERFECT. Not stiff, not bouncy, doesnt bottom out, its just ------- perfect. One funny thing I noticed when we pulled the coilovers out and inspected them, was that the last guy had the springs all mixed up. He had them like this Front Right - 350lb spring Front Left - 450lb spring Rear Right - 450lb spring Rear Left - 350lb spring kinda funny. PICS http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension03.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension04.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension05.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension06.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension07.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension13.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension14.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension18.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension19.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension20.jpg Look at this ----, ITR's and front cuts all over the place, fucker. http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension08.jpg 88crex's Favorite breaker bar, hey Mike is that B-Series or D-Series http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension21.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension22.jpg The evil suspension, see how on the rears one is cut like 1.5" shorter than the other. Yikes. http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension15.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension16.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension17.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension25.jpg Before on cut springs, see that hard ass tuck http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension01.jpg Two after shots after we had the fronts in, way better http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension02.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension26.jpg The end result. I cant decide if I want to raise the front to match, or lower the rear. http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension23.jpg http://24.20.167.40/suspension/suspension24.jpg Big Thanks to 88crex (Mike) for being a badass and taking care of this ---- with me today, and to jdm_racer (Thuc) for setting me up with the parts |
Re: Installed new suspension today, pics inside
lol, I remember the very first set of Eibach springs I put on. I put the front ones on first and dropped it to the ground. I said "God damn that ---- is low!". Then I put the rears on and said "Son of a bitch, I put the rears on the front". God damn noobies. :-[

before the top of the tire was about 1" - 1.5" up into the fender, now the front is only about 1/4" up into it, and the rear has about 1/4" gap.

lol
"88crex's Favorite breaker bar, hey Mike is that B-Series or D-Series" I use the same thing as my breaker bar. I picked it up one day at the junkyard and use it all the time nowr. I used a dremel to trim off that little pipe on the side though. |
Re: Installed new suspension today, pics inside
holy mother of god the tires look huge. you need to drop the back just a tad bit more ;)

Re: Installed new suspension today, pics inside
I barely know anything about suspension
How hard is it to do a shock/spring install? |
Re: Installed new suspension today, pics inside
usually on hondas the bolts get fused inside the bushing from rusting for 15 years and then when u try to loosen them they break
so always have spare bolts handy |
Re: Installed new suspension today, pics inside
your springs are riiiiighteos
