Installed new suspension today, pics inside

Well, I finally got my suspension all ready to go and installed today.

Best part of the entire thing is, Mike (88crex) did all of the work. All I had to do was offer a second set of hands a couple times. This was really efficient for us lazy folks

Anyhoo, here it all is, I wanna dial in the height a bit more but I must say the car rides...PERFECT. Not stiff, not bouncy, doesnt bottom out, its just ------- perfect.

One funny thing I noticed when we pulled the coilovers out and inspected them, was that the last guy had the springs all mixed up.

He had them like this
Front Right - 350lb spring
Front Left - 450lb spring
Rear Right - 450lb spring
Rear Left - 350lb spring

kinda funny.

The evil suspension, see how on the rears one is cut like 1.5" shorter than the other. Yikes.

The end result. I cant decide if I want to raise the front to match, or lower the rear.

lol, I remember the very first set of Eibach springs I put on. I put the front ones on first and dropped it to the ground. I said "God damn that ---- is low!". Then I put the rears on and said "Son of a bitch, I put the rears on the front". God damn noobies. :-[

Car looks good. How does it ride now?

honestly from a picture it probably does.

before the top of the tire was about 1" - 1.5" up into the fender, now the front is only about 1/4" up into it, and the rear has about 1/4" gap.

lol
"88crex's Favorite breaker bar, hey Mike is that B-Series or D-Series"

I use the same thing as my breaker bar. I picked it up one day at the junkyard and use it all the time nowr. I used a dremel to trim off that little pipe on the side though.

I barely know anything about suspension
How hard is it to do a shock/spring install?

Ravage70 10-10-2005 12:09 AM

Re: Installed new suspension today, pics inside

usually on hondas the bolts get fused inside the bushing from rusting for 15 years and then when u try to loosen them they break

so always have spare bolts handy

oh? I didn't realize you were chipping in on buying my suspension. feel free to send me a set of omni's or teins. I'll take a full SS damper coilover set, thanks.

i basically only bought the shocks, the springs just came with it. as far as being jdm tyte...they're adjustable dickbag. I'm going to be raising it. god you're such a burden to this site

yes, 450 in to front 350 in the rear, if it is the newer verison it is 500 in the front and 400 in the back.(oh and hopefully u did it right :-X)
decent spring but i doubt the tokico blue will hold up too long with stiff springs like that :-X

the front of my right tire rubs in full steer lock, but i think thats due to a previous accident, that portion of the body looks as if its been bent out. nothing related to the drop, no.
