Re: Insomnia
The second you lay down and start thinking you need to go to sleep you'll be wide awake. Glad tomorrow is Fri. I'll be tired as hell

Re: Insomnia
Yeah, I wake up in 5 hours to present Mechanics homework (which isn't fully done btw). Then I have Thermo due at 5 which I haven't started. This is all thanks to Numerical Analysis eating my time all week.

Re: Insomnia
I say you can sleep when you're dead... :P

Re: Insomnia
I was hoping this would turn into a thread of Dr. Rockso quotes, but it didn't.

What takes my time now is "Discret Math" (we have an exam every 3 weeks :7) and "Operating system's kernels".... I had Thermodynamics 3 years ago and almost failed it lol Good luck with those man! |
Re: Insomnia
Thermo isn't bad, but I'm just now starting my homework that's due in 6.5 hours.. not good. Mechanics wasn't terrible, I actually got most of the problems. Meh, Numerical ANALysis is ------- rape.
|
Re: Insomnia
I'm glad I don't have problems in math class.
|
Re: Insomnia
I think I prefer differential and integral calculus than discret math...
I'm not good with induction proof (well all kind of proof) and matrix ----... Anyways I think it's my last math class... Even if I thought the prob. and stat. class was my last one :7 How can you tell that "Discrete Structure" is a math class? ??? |
Re: Insomnia
How? ::)
All engineering classes are math classes. Applied math classes. |

Re: Insomnia
I said I'm not good at it. I never said I don't understand it :1
|
Re: Insomnia
back to the swanps with you
|
Re: Insomnia
If you understood it you wouldn't be questioning your basic competency in the material.
|
Re: Insomnia
Even if you understand it, make proof of theorems isnt easy.
I know what type of proof I need to prove this and I understand it: Sum(j=1, n) [j^4] = n(n+1)(2n+1)(3n^2 + 3n -1) / 30 where n > 0 . But I'm not good in induction proof... Even if I know how turbo works, it doesnt mean I can design one. |
Re: Insomnia
I doubt your ability to correctly bolt one on.
|
Re: Insomnia
Strangely high level math classes are about getting back to the basics and drilling that stuff and their proofs into your head. That's why I'm a physics major. The difference between how math teachers and physics teacher present material is huge, even if they were to teach the same material. I took intro to solid mechanics my sophomore year taught by a math professor so we got heavy into proofs. The same class taught by a physics professor is 1) here's a definition of an operation or notation 2) here's what it does 3) apply it to this different type of problem. Numerical analysis is crushing my spirit, but it's required for my physics major concentration.
