Not unless the imports have a large displacement engine with more than 4 cylinders...

All that ---- is just beating a dead horse. Every car ive owned, Ive bought because I liked them. Not because they were the fastest or the coolest or whatever.

I know what I like, ---- everybody else.

I like getting 25mpg on the way to the track, running 13s on street tires, and driving home, while everyone else loads up on the trailer. Then cruising the weekends, and on highways embarassing mustangs and camaros, while thinking about how Ive spend less than 4k on my car, including purchasing the car. I got a low 13 second Mali-boohoo, but it gets 8mpg at best, and only has 5500 rpm and 3 gears...

---- what most of those guys say. But at the same time, I go to the strip (not stripe), and see the same ---- they see, and think the same ---- they think. There are a lot of mexicans and ---- with their stickers, spoilers, and straight pipes that dont have track etiquette, and dont know how to drive, while thinking theyre 17 second accord is fast as FAWK!

Personally I love old Detroit musle. Its just hard to find an old school muscle car that isn't ate up with cancer or doesn't cost a fortune to purchase. Plus if you build a 500 horse turbo honda and a 500 horse sbc and drive them everyday you'll spend 3-4 times the amount of gas in the sbc. So they're all around just not friendly on you wallet anymore.

Sadly, donk and drifting is taking over.

I'm pissed because it's SOOOOO hard to find a 240 that hasn't been riced out with cut springs, a cheap ass ebay body kit that's absolutely ugly a fart pipe and a gt style spoiler. They do understeer 1 wheel fire or turned-in-the-whole-time donuts and think they're drifting. These guys are the worst.

God will sort them out.

God most definately sorts the donk guys out when they're stuck rolling on stock 14" wheels after they get a flat tire on their 30's, unable to find or afford a replacement, let alone find a shop that mounts tires of that size.

Thank god the economic crisis is burning up the middle class (which i happen to be a part of but i'm decent with my money) which means assholes will now have to make their own spoilers and hubcaps out of aluminum foil, garden gutters and playdoh, thus giving me somthing else to laugh at on the road.

The redneck "v8 or nothing" crowd can lick my balls. I dont know how many times i've been rev'd at by rustangs and beat ass camaros that probably dont have compression in a few cylinders, are misfireing but have a HUGE napa and flowmaster sticker on the back window. They're just as bad as beaners and white trash wannabe ------s at stoplights thinking they're hot ---- in their failboat.

I'm just in a hateful mood thismorning. I'm trying to kill some IMPORTED beer before i retire for the night. I've been hating my girlfriend lately too. Siibap?

t_cel_t 01-09-2009 08:49 AM

Re: Are IMPORTS at the stripe the new rage?

who needs compression when you got 8 sillyinders

Re: Are IMPORTS at the stripe the new rage?

One of those V-8 guys once told me: "There's no replacement for displacement." Apparently he'd never seen a turbo or how badly they can rape an engine. :l

Just go to the stripe bar and watch the stripers instead, while eating chicken stripes and drinking Red Strip beer.

I guess ppl would rather the ricers leave one wheel squeel marks on the local streets.
Duh....ricers at the track...where else can they do 79mph and not get a ticket.

Hondas racing at the tracks peak were like 7-8 years ago. 3 of the racing sanctions for hondas are no longer in business ya its the new RAGe. So much no one can make money racing them :1

Hondas actually had a huge following and the Honda corp. was very involved in drag racing until the 20 something builders couldnt keep up with building cars/business etc. The chance was their it was ruined. Dude this ---- was on ESPN for a reason. My old boss was the #1 qualifier at the first NHRA event and Cameras were all up in our business from ESPN like we were real stars(actually just white trash so cal desert kids with a beast of a car for the time). The Honda community fucked it up and why

NHRA is gone
NOPI is gone
IDRC is gone

WE are back to just battle of the imports like in the 90's. The community will weed the douches out it has and will continue until its back to the good ole days.
