Import Invasion- Mission Raceway
 

I was wondering who all from HMT was planning on coming out.It is the first time they have put on a import only event and could be the start of a new great event as Mission is a very fast track and your car will probably run faster here then anywhere.Takes place next weekend Aug 11 & 12 . You should.Im picking up some 24.5 slicks at Mopac once i get down there and i think it will be time for C16 and nignog setting of the boost controller :D My Holset HY35 is dead though and all I have lying around is a SS T3/T4 that it looks like Im going to have to slap on and make a new downpipe :l

Our crew of idiots from the island will be over there.

Our K20 Teal EG will be there for certain.
The turbo LSvtec EF is still miles away from seeing the street, but with some luck we might get it fired up and broken in with enough time to race.

Well it doesnt look like we are going. The owner of the car can't get across the border due to a DUI incident doing over 160mph in his car.. lol stupid laws wont let anyone with dui's up there.

Yes unfortunetly you cant enter Canada with a criminal record and same goes for the US.Both countries have strict laws against entry and a simple DUI means no go unless it took place years ago then i think you can get clearance.

when we used to go to spokane to race moto-x my friend used to ride his bike accross a ungarded section by trail and we'd pick him up in northport wa. :-X

The crx is gone, i dont have a car so im using brandons EG with my turbo setup/ LS with cams and valve springs :y

Ok day.
Steves ride was doing wierd ignition stuff, and the clean passes were only trapping 106ish. We both were guessing 118-120 based on last nights street tune. :-\ BTW, huge delta regrinds pull 8-10" of vacuum at idle, and sound like a bridge-port wankel.
My car made a 1/2 pass on new slicks, and the sidewalls were rubbing the spindle. Put the streets on and proceeded to have some massive wheel hop that broke my TPS plug off.

Our buddy Kyle and Jay's budget build EF race car did a best of 11.5? @ 128. Stock bottom LSvtouch + Holset.

I still have not been able to race we pulled a all nighter friday installing a brand new HX35 as my HY35 blew up and i have been getting owned by Crome hard.When i have data logging running it on occasion throws a solid cell and goes into some kind of limp mode :7 Did it to me on a third gear pull and i think i blew a ring/land or something it smokes like a mother fucker now :-X I unhooked all the data logging gear and have a rough map in there which is pretty rich.Gonna go hit up Crappy tire in the morning for some bardhall no smoke and try yo make a pass or two tommorow on my new slicks. :6 I will snap lots of pics anyways.

Yes Im staying in Mission at my sisters and i have to drive it 700kms home after :l Might need to buy a whole case of Bardhall :6 Hey any HMT nig nogs come say high i will be in the white hatch with a HMT sticker on the side.

Well first pass was a 11.9 at 118mph on a 1.88 sixty.We added a bunch of timing,dropped the slicks down to 7psi,pulled all the timing at 7200 rpm[0-5psi] on the launch and proceded to cut a 1.7 sixty and came screaming out of the hole and then the clutch packed it in >:( I really wanted to get kicked off for no cage :'( Lame turnout I have never seen so many slow turbo Hondas in one place in my life.I will upload some pics tonight.Im really liking the new HX35 :y

got 4 passes in.

started out with a 12.86 @ 110mph @ 12psi.

Best run of the weekend was a 12.10 @ 113mph at the same boost level on the slicks. Ended up lifting the head and popping the head gasket. ------ blows. I was aiming for a low 11 and like 90dx, we too wanted to get kicked off the track, but didnt happen.

Turn out was rather scarce indeed, definately expected a larger turnout. :(

We'll be back out in a couple of weeks and see what type of 11 sec number we can pull off with a uncooked head and a little more boost.

Well the hatch made it home on 3.5 cylinders 4 quarts of oil later :-X Didnt actually get to many pics and im waiting on some video.

I made that 11.9 pass with a cracked sleeve :6 I went out the other night and finished it off with some burnouts and i will post some pics of the carnage later on.Im coming back down friday the 24th to try for a 11.48 pulling the motor out and firing another LS in there.
