Oh I thought you meant the cool kind of drifter... like the kind that drifts from town to town. I want my 5 seconds back dammit!

no one ever drifted their cars before japan did it ::) people were "power sliding" when nips were still running around in sandals and tending goldfish I remember being 5 years old (1976) in my dads 1968 Chevy half ton pickup that had a w-30 Olds 455 swapped in it with late model Camaro front running gear (big discs) and a late model posi rear end sliding around freeway cloverleafs at 50 MPH regularly... With the ever present pint of wild turkey under the seat and no less than 20 roaches in the ashtray... The 455 came out of a Hurst Olds that some ------s had ripped off, robbed a bank, and ran into a pole in San francisco in like 1973-74... LOL. |
Re: i'm sure everyone already knows that McCain's wife is a drifter?
As far as making it a competition... yeah I'd say Japan made it official. But it's gay no matter who invented it/innovated it.

I'd vote her into office.
Hubby seems like a yuppie. Why the ---- is straight line acceleration the pinacle of motorsports on this site? Dont get me wrong, i love drag racing (theres a track where cars from tubbed novas to top fuel funny cars to ricers run not far from my house, i also live close to darlington and lowes motor speedway and watch the drags when i get a chance), but drifting is a driver's sport. So are togue battles for those of you that watch jdm option, youtube or ricer mags. Drifting is the only sport where a 600hp supra can lose to a 180hp corolla. It's all the driver, not hp. Yeah, hp plays a role but you can't stick somebody who's been dragging all their life to compete with the likes of rhys millen (i hope he's doing better btw) in a sideways race. |
Re: i'm sure everyone already knows that McCain's wife is a drifter?
your moms assfat races pretty well when i pound it sideways

Re: i'm sure everyone already knows that McCain's wife is a drifter?
Drifting is kind of fun to watch and it's always a blast to get in a vehicle and rail it to the ragged edge, but I wouldn't call it a sport. More of a hobby. Reason being, if it were the most efficient and fastest way to race, Formula One teams would be doing it.
cliffs: Drifting = Fun to do and looks cool in movies, yes . Legitimate sport, no. |

Re: i'm sure everyone already knows that McCain's wife is a drifter?
you're exaggerating a tad. drifting is not really that hard, any hillbilly with a v8 and a 4 speed does it all the time.

cept i do it with a 2 speed |
Re: i'm sure everyone already knows that McCain's wife is a drifter?
circuit/road racing is where it's at.
Combines car power with driver skill. Drifting is a waste of good tires. |
